Information regarding the protection and use of personal data. ORIZZONTE AUTONOMIA ETS is aware of the importance of safeguarding privacy and individuals’ rights and therefore ensures compliance with and full adherence to the rules of conduct that guarantee safe, controlled, and confidential online navigation, in accordance with European Regulation 2016/679 concerning the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data.

Purpose and legal basis of processing
Orizzonte Autonomia processes the personal data collected exclusively for carrying out the normal activities of the Association, namely to disseminate knowledge about the activities and objectives of the Association itself, as well as for awareness-raising and fundraising activities. Data is processed based on consent as specified in the following sections.

3. DATA PROVIDED BY THE USER

The processing of data will take place using automated and non-automated methods, in compliance with the confidentiality and security rules provided by law.
Data is collected through the forms on the website and will be used to manage donations, send paper and electronic communications (email, SMS, WhatsApp, phone calls), and to send the Association's newsletter, with communications personalized according to the interests and preferences of the data subject.

4. BROWSING DATA AND COOKIES

Some personal data is collected automatically through Internet communication protocols during normal browsing (IP addresses, domain names, server request methods, operating system and IT parameters).
These data are used solely for statistical purposes. The website uses cookies, for which reference is made to the specific cookie policy.

5. RECIPIENTS OF PERSONAL DATA

The data is processed by authorized internal staff and, on behalf of the Association, by external parties appointed as Data Processors or independent Data Controllers (website managers, banks, IT service providers).
The data may also be disclosed to supervisory authorities or in compliance with legal obligations.

6. DATA PROVISION AND CONSENT OF THE DATA SUBJECT

Apart from browsing data, providing personal data is optional and any refusal will not affect navigation on the website.
Data submitted through the forms will be used to respond to the user’s requests (donations, newsletter, information requests, data updates), and explicit consent will be required when mandated by law.

7. RETENTION PERIOD

In the event of a donor’s data deletion request, the data will be retained in accordance with the legal tax retention periods.
In other cases, the data will be deleted upon the data subject’s request.

8. STORAGE LOCATION

Personal data will be stored in Italy in the electronic archives of Orizzonte Autonomia ETS and, on our behalf, by external Data Processors.
Any transfers outside the EU will take place in compliance with European Regulation 2016/679.

9. CREDIT CARD AND FINANCIAL INFORMATION SECURITY

Credit card data is neither stored nor processed by Orizzonte Autonomia, as donations are made exclusively through PayPal, which independently manages the entire payment process securely.

10. RIGHTS OF THE DATA SUBJECT

The data subject has the right to exercise the rights provided by Articles 15-21 of the European Regulation: access, rectification, deletion, restriction, or objection to processing. They also have the right to withdraw consent at any time.
